This Privacy Policy explains how Tapelink ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and retains personal data when you use our website, account features, link tools, analytics, and paid subscription services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the personal data needed to provide Tapelink, including:

• Account information, such as your email address and authentication details.
• Subscription and payment-related information, such as billing email, subscription status, order IDs, and subscription IDs. Full payment card details are processed by LemonSqueezy and are not stored by Tapelink.
• Link and analytics data tied to your account, such as links you create, link views, platform clicks, timestamps, UTM parameters, referrer domains from the HTTP Referer header, device and browser information from the User-Agent header, and approximate country from hosting-provider geolocation headers. We do not use cookies for this first-party analytics collection.
• Messages you send to us, including support or privacy requests.
• Where a Pro creator has attached a Meta Pixel to a share link and you accept cookie consent on that page, Meta Platforms may collect usage data via Meta's scripts and cookies as described in section 5.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data to create and manage accounts, provide and improve the Tapelink service, generate and maintain music links, provide analytics to account holders, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Where you have signed up for a Tapelink account, we may contact you with information about Tapelink features, service updates, and subscription offers. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or contacting us at hello@tapelink.io.

4. Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only where needed to operate Tapelink. This includes service providers that host, secure, and support the service (including Vercel Analytics for aggregated product usage on Tapelink itself), and LemonSqueezy, our payment processor, for checkout, subscription management, billing, fraud prevention, and payment support. We do not sell personal data.

When a link creator enables a Meta Pixel on a share link and a visitor accepts cookies, usage data may also be sent to Meta Platforms as described below. That configuration is chosen by the link creator; Tapelink provides the Pro feature that loads the pixel after consent.

5. Cookies and Meta Pixel

Tapelink's own link analytics (views and platform clicks) do not rely on cookies. Pro subscribers may optionally attach a Meta Pixel ID to individual share links. On those links only, visitors may see a cookie consent prompt before any Meta script loads. If you accept, Meta's tracking script may set cookies (such as _fbp) and send visit and related usage data to Meta Platforms for the creator's advertising and measurement purposes, under Meta's terms and policies. If you reject, Meta Pixel is not loaded and those cookies are not set by this feature. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage) so we do not prompt you again on other Tapelink share links that use a Meta Pixel. Links without a Meta Pixel do not show this consent prompt.

6. How Long We Retain Data

We retain account, link, subscription, and analytics data for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited records after account deletion where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data. To request deletion of your account or personal data, or to make another privacy request, contact us at hello@tapelink.io. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the data we process and limit access to people and providers who need it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the date below.
